LEGO- Corporate Gifting Case Study

Client name: The Lego Group

Occasion: First store launch in India

Number of hampers: 155

The Lego Group:

Lego is a leading manufacturer of children’s play materials, operating in over 40 countries. Its vision is to unlock children's creativity, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving potential from a young age.

They’ve also ventured into the digital space with apps, games, and several other online activities to enrich children’s minds.

Gifting Requirement:

Lego’s gifting brief was a simple one: the gift should scream LEGO in every way possible. These corporate gift hampers were for influencers, content creators, and other celebrities to announce the launch of LEGO’s first store in India.

They wanted all the elements to represent the brand, even without customizing the hamper with its name or logo. They placed an order for 155 hampers in total.

Challenges:

There weren’t many challenges that we faced during any of the processes. However, we did hit a bump when the Lego-inspired diaries weren’t up to the mark quality-wise, and the vendor was not ready to exchange them or send new ones.

We had to reach out to another vendor for the same, and with the time crunch over our heads, it was a race against time. However, everything went smoothly at the end of the day.

Approach:

Our approach was to ensure that the client’s brief was met with perfection. Therefore, out of the 155 hampers, 2 hampers were sent to the client as samples initially to get approval. Once those samples were approved with some feedback on some of the products, we got to work.

Since the brief was that anyone could see and tell that it was a LEGO hamper, we turned everything, including the packaging, into a LEGO brick, sporting the brand’s colors.

Client’s POV:

“People are loving it.”
